Online Viewers Watch 17% More Video Ads in Dec.

Digital matrix firm comScore Inc. reported that the number of U.S. Internet users who watched online video in December rose 5.5 percent year on year to 182 million. 
The total number of advertisements played in those videos and viewed by U.S. Internet users during the month was 7.1 billion, a 16.9 percent year-on- year increase. On average, the number of hours Internet viewers spent watching online video surged 37 percent to 22.3 hours.
